GWW VIII
This was the first Lure Coursing event at the GWW and it was without a doubt a HUGE success!! At first it was a bit shakey as the times and locations had to be nailed down but it turned out to hold three days of Coursing just off to the side of the Gate on a lovely grassy fenced in area. Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Sat morning where the days, with Saturday having the higgest turn out. In total about 20 puppers showed either to run or watch! There where your traditiona sighthouds.. a Whippet , Vizula and a pair of Greyhounds as well as Labs, Retrievers, a Pom, Corgis, my guys the Great Danes, a few mix breeds and the one that stole the show was a wee lil silky terrier!

The kids seemed to enjoy it as much as the canines!
The sun was quite hot that day so people and pups kept cool in the shade.

In traditional fashion the pair of Grey hounds were just phenominal. It was amazing to see them both run together. The brindle is Cumhea.
Molly strutting her stuff.. not bad for an 8yr Dane. She does like it.. but the sun on the black coat makes her want one thing.. Shade.

DJ was enjoying it as well.. until he nearly caught the lure but instead got a muzzle full of pulley. Luckily he suffered a minor chipped tooth.. but like a trooper gave it another go before petering out cause the heat.

This silky terrier named Huneberc was just beside herself to get on the course. Never having ran one before, there is no questions she IS a natural!
