New Comers.. tips on how to get start.Breeds in HistoryLinks

Historically, lure coursing was done by sight hounds (like Greyhounds), who had been bred specifically for their speed, agility and superior ability to sight quarry. But in the current middle ages we acknowledge that coursing is great fun for many breeds and encourage anyone with a hound that likes to chase to come give it a try. A great many dogs get the idea instinctively or get it simply by watching the other dogs. Some need a little more encouragement or enjoy simply chasing other dogs chasing the lure. We’ve had over 20 different breeds and mixes course in Caid, so the chances your dog might be interested are fairly high.
