Kingdom Hound Mistress TH Lady Christiaen de Groute w/ Ludwig "The Terrible" (L) and Otto(R) Email We got Ludwig several years ago as a pup after rescuing our first whippet (Percival 1994-2004) and falling head-over-heels in love with the breed. Ludwig was named after Ludwig II, the 18th century King of Bavaria. Ludwig’s subjects referred to him as “Der Tolle Ludwig” (The Crazy Ludwig), which seems to fit our Ludwig perfectly. The “Terrible” was added after GWW IX when he dislocated Lady Rhiannon’s finger during a pre-coursing frenzy. Otto came into our lives in 2005 as a 5 year old rescue. He was quickly named Otto after Ludwig II’s crazier brother. That also seems to fit rather well.
